In John 5:1-9: Jesus healed a man who had been sick for thirty-eight years. Jesus went to where the man was and interacted with him. It’s essential to be present with those in need. Here is a formula in 5 steps that bring success in reaching others for Christ.
The 1st commandment is about putting God first in our lives.Through this, God has commanded us to put Him first in our lives, and to put no other thing before Him. God did not command this for Himself, but has commanded it for our own good.
God is looking for willing workers. He’s looking to recruit you. Get busy now doing whatever work you find close at hand, no matter how humble or seemingly insignificant. Then pray, “Here am I, send me” and just watch what He does!
"If we are to be involved in fulfilling the great gospel commission, we must understand what we mean by 'evangelism' and 'witnessing'" . Evangelism is a lifestyle. It goes beyond that. Evangelism is more than an event.
Why would a person say he or she loves God but doesn’t wish to fellowship with His people? One of the reasons God wants us in church is because it has people with similar beliefs. It helps bolster our faith and makes us accountable to one another
Jesus calls us to go into all the world to make disciples. What does it mean to be a disciple? It has to do with discipline. Though we needs of time of withdrawal, a disciple is not a hermit who totally withdraws from the world. There are many areas of life to be in discipline: work, health, prayer, speech, and more.
As a new Christian or someone who is contemplating taking the Next Step towards surrendering your life to Christ, you may wonder what is that Next Step. Your commitment to follow Jesus Christ through faith, is one of walking in a relationship with God. There is excitement about being a new follower of Christ, but there are also questions about what your life should look like now or what you should do, having been convicted to give Christ your heart. A life fully committed to Christ is led by Christ. It comes with challenges, and at time redicule. But Jesus reminds us in John 16:33 - “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” You are one of God’s workmanship.
You are “created in Christ Jesus for good works”. God has prepared for you a great future that will bring glory to His Name. God created all people with unique gifts and talents. Do you know that you have specific gifts and talents for a specific purpose? Yes, you do! Living a life surrendered to God is following Him wherever He may lead you. As you begin your walk with Christ and grow in your relationship with God. Questions and doubts are totally alright, as they keep you moving forward and not backward. May you live fully for God by feeding your faith and growing in your personal relationship with Him.
